Nominations are open for the 2024 Multicultural Queensland Awards

The awards recognise and celebrate outstanding achievements towards a more inclusive multicultural Queensland.

This includes notable contributions by newly arrived Queenslanders, remarkable individuals and organisations who have helped others find belonging, and exceptional multicultural sector efforts that demonstrate inclusion, innovation and positive intercultural connection.

A new category this year is the Lifetime Achievement award, recognising extraordinary individuals who have demonstrated a longstanding commitment to promote and support multiculturalism in their communities.

Since 1990, the Multicultural Queensland Awards have recognised community volunteers and groups, businesses, government agencies and media whose efforts have helped all Queenslanders to participate in our economy and community.

The categories in this year’s Multicultural Queensland Awards are:

  • Outstanding contribution by a new Queenslander (Individual)
  • Diversity and inclusion champion (Individual and Organisation)
  • Multicultural sector outstanding achiever (Individual and Organisation)
  • Lifetime achiever (Individual) New!
