Overview

While many young people in Queensland are faring well in regard to health, safety and wellbeing, there are areas that cause concern. Obesity, alcohol consumption, homelessness, mental or behavioural problems and suicide mortality are some of the issues that need to be addressed.

Youth Affairs Network of Queensland (YANQ) – the peak body for youth affairs in Queensland, representing individuals and organisations from the youth sector.

Open Doors Youth Service – provides support to young people who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and/or Transgender (LGBT), those who have a diverse gender and/or sexuality and those who are exploring their sexuality and/or gender identity.
