Grants: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Action Plan 2023-2025
The Australian Government’s Department of Social Services has opened four key grant opportunities to provide support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander victim-survivors of family, domestic and sexual violence.
The grants will also support the implementation of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Action Plan 2023-2025 and will help to end violence in our communities.
The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Action Plan 2023-2025 aims to address the immediate safety needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, children and families.
The grants will provide funding for immediate work in 4 key areas of the Action Plan:
- Community-led prevention services, programs and campaigns for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children
- Community-led men’s wellness centres
- Family, domestic and sexual violence programs in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community-Controlled Organisations (ACCOs)
- Increasing capacity of crisis accommodation services
Community organisations are encouraged to apply.
