2024 Queensland Reconciliation Awards: Winners announced!

The Queensland Reconciliation Awards honours the many inspiring initiatives and projects advancing reconciliation across the state. These businesses, community organisations and groups, educational institutions and government agencies go beyond their core business to champion reconciliation.

The 2024 Queensland Reconciliation Awards finalists were recognised in a ceremony in Cairns, during National Reconciliation Week.

The 2024 Queensland Reconciliation Awards category winners are:

  • Business – Mandingalbay Yidinji Aboriginal Corporation for Mandingalbay Authentic Indigenous Tours
  • Community – Butchulla Men’s Business Aboriginal Association for Butchulla Warriors’ Memorial – A Journey of Reconciliation
  • Education – Abergowrie State School
  • Health and wellbeing – Apunipima Cape York Health Council and Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service for Cape York Kidney Care
  • Partnership – Isa Rodeo Limited and Mona Aboriginal Corporation for Mount Isa Mines Indigenous Rodeo Championships.

The Butchulla Men’s Business Aboriginal Association were also recognised with the overall Premier’s Reconciliation Award for the Butchulla Warriors’ Memorial – A Journey of Reconciliation.
