Foundational Training Modules on Coercive Control Training and Legislative Change now live

The Department of Justice and Attorney-General (DJAG) has released two on-line training modules developed to support the commencement of the new coercive control legislation that commences on 26 May 2025.

The foundational online training modules are available state-wide to anyone who is interested in accessing them. The modules have been developed in line with Domestic and Family Violence Training and Change Management Framework released in April 2024.

The modules are available on the Queensland Centre for Domestic and Family Violence Research (QCDFVR) website QCDFVR, which is useful for anyone wanting a Statement of Completion.  Additionally, the modules are available on the new DJAG Need to Know site. This allows learners who do not wish to provide their email through QCDFVR to access the modules anonymously.

DJAG encourages you all to complete the training and share the resources with your professional and personal networks, where appropriate. Please contact Women’s Safety and Violence Prevention at [email protected] if you have any questions.
