Intellectual Disability Health Framework

The Australian Government has developed an Intellectual Disability Health Capability Framework, which is available in Easy Read.

The Framework is about ensuring future health professionals are confident and have the skills to work with people with intellectual disability.

It includes ideas that have been collected from talking to people with intellectual disability, their families, carers and people who support them.

You can:

• read the Framework and Easy Read documents to help you speak up for better quality health care
• watch a video to see why the Framework is important to people with intellectual disability
• tell other people with intellectual disability about the Framework.
