Youth Law Australia providing free youth legal advice

Youth Law Australia (YLA), an accredited national community legal service which provides free and confidential legal advice, referrals and education to children and young people up to 24 years old in any area of the law. Anyone under 25 (or their advocate) can request and receive free and confidential legal assistance through it’s online service that is available 24/7.

YLA mostly provide assistance by email, in response to enquiries sent through their online form, but can also provide telephone or video consultations, particularly if the issue is urgent or it’s more suitable to give the assistance this way.

YLA are happy to receive referrals for legal advice from your organisation or young people. You can also refer any children or young people to their online form. More legal information and resources are also available on their website covering legal issues which children and young people often encounter.
