Three-day lockdown for Brisbane

Greater Brisbane will go into a snap three-day lockdown from 5 pm AEST this evening, Monday, 29 March.

This includes the areas of Brisbane, Logan, Moreton Bay, Ipswich and Redlands.

The latest lockdown announcement comes after 10 cases were recorded overnight, including four locally acquired cases.

Schools will close from tomorrow and people in Greater Brisbane will only be able to leave their homes for essential reasons like grocery shopping, exercise, work and medical care.

Aged care, correctional centres, hospitals and disability service providers will close to visitors across the state.
Greater Brisbane residents must wear masks outside the home, including in ride shares, on public transport and in workplaces.
