The Kaleidoscope Project showcasing emerging culturally diverse film makers

Screen Australia and ABC Children’s Content have partnered in a Cultural and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) film season to support and showcase the best of Australia’s next generation of CALD content makers.

The Kaleidoscope Project aims to fund up to four individuals or teams to each make a standalone film. The purpose of the program is to tell a story for ABC ME audiences that reflects and captures the experience of a CALD person living in Australia today. The films aim to deliver the following:

  • An insight into what it is like to be CALD person from a child’s point of view
  • Provide CALD child actors with their first acting credit
  • Tell authentic stories

Applications must be submitted by 5:00pm AEDT on 14 December 2020. Visit the ABC website for more information.
