Submissions: Queensland Competition Authority reviewing Water pricing principles

The Queensland Competition Authority (QCA) is reviewing its Statement of Regulatory Pricing Principles for the Water Sector, and it is asking for your submissions or feedback.

The pricing principles provide high-level guidance as to how the QCA assesses the level and structure of prices. It makes recommendations to the Government about pricing practices relating to monopoly water supply activities, and provides guidance to other water suppliers.

The principles are generally intended to promote economic efficiency and social equity in the supply and use of water and water supply infrastructure.

The original document is now nearing 20 years old, and the QCA intends to incorporate stakeholder feedback as it forges ahead with a new draft statement.
