Plan: Towards ending homelessness for young Queenslanders 2022-2027
The Queensland Government has announced its commitment to improving housing outcomes for young people. The Towards ending homelessness plan focuses on delivering integrated services across the Queensland Government and the housing and homelessness sector through three key areas:
- earlier service access,
- accessible housing products, and
- responsive housing support services.
Through the policy and framework, the Queensland Government is investing $29.8 million over four years starting in 2022/23, delivering new frontline service initiatives to provide housing with support for young people to access and sustain housing and work towards social and economic independence.
A deliverable of the Queensland Housing and Homelessness Action Plan, this policy and framework will transform the way housing products and support services are designed and delivered to help young people in housing need.
