Nominations: Multicultural Queensland Awards 2021
Nominations are now open for the new and exciting Multicultural Queensland Awards 2021.
These Awards recognise the outstanding contributions by organisations or individuals helping to strengthen and build an inclusive Queensland. 2021 is the opportunity to give someone the recognition they deserve.
This year organisers have refreshed the awards program and will be looking to recognise outstanding contributions through three new categories including contributions by newly arrived Queenslanders, practical ways people have helped others find belonging, and exceptional multicultural sector efforts that are innovative and intercultural.
This year’s categories are:
• Outstanding Contribution by a New Queenslander – for individuals only who have arrived from overseas to live in Queensland in the last 10 years
• Diversity and Inclusion Champion – for individuals, corporations, business, community organisations and government agencies.
• Multicultural Sector Outstanding Achiever – for employees, non-government organisations, not-for-profit and community groups.
There is also a Minister’s Multicultural Award for the outstanding achievements of a nominee, selected by the Minister of Multicultural Affairs from all nominations.
Award winners will be announced during Multicultural Queensland Month. Nominations for the Multicultural Queensland Awards 2021 close at 5:00 pm Monday, 10 May 2021.
