Free university programs from Clemente for people experiencing hardship

Clemente is a free university program offered to people who’ve experienced hardship and would like to improve their skills in a supportive and gentle learning community.

Students will study a Certificate of Liberal Arts to help build communication skills including writing, speaking and presenting, planning, critical thinking and self-organisation from experts in their industry.

The program is offered at two locations by Australian Catholic University (ACU) for different age groups:

  • Mixed Program (Aged 18 to 60+) ACU Banyo Campus – Wednesdays: HIST115 Global History
  • Young adults Program (Aged 17 to 30) South Brisbane – Thursdays: COMM104 Writing for the Media
