Free university program for people who have experienced hardship
Clemente is a free university program offered to people who’ve experienced hardship and would like to improve their skills in a supportive and gentle learning community. The projects offers a safe learning environment with the support of volunteer learning partners and mentors during the learning journey.
Students will study a Certificate of Liberal Arts to help build communication skills, including writing, speaking, planning, critical thinking and self-organisations from experts in their industry.
People can apply if they:
- speak English as a second language
- have missed Education due to hardship
- are returning to study
- are a refugee or asylum seeker
- are a year 12 student and seeking an alternative option.
This project is a partnership between St Vincent’s de Paul Society, Australian Catholic University, Sisters of Mercy and Micah Projects.
