Fact sheet: Changes to fixed term contracts under the Fair Work Act
Under changes to the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth), both the length and number of fixed term contracts an employer may offer to an employee to perform essentially the same work will be limited.
The changes to fixed term contracts apply to contracts entered into from 6 December 2023.
