Digital inclusion project working with people with disability

AAA Digital Inclusion is a partnership between GIVIT, Queenslanders with Disability Network (QDN) and Volunteering Queensland aimed at keeping people with disability connected through technology. The project is working with people in Brisbane, Gympie and the Moreton Bay region.

The partnership is working towards ensuring people with disability have user friendly devices that are fit for purpose and have the data, knowledge, and skills to be able to connect to and be included in the digital world. It’s about:

  • Access: working with GIVIT to find donated devices to match with people with disability that need them
  • Affordability: getting information about options for affordable and sustainable data packages to be able to use the device long-term, and make informed decisions
  • Ability: gaining the skills and knowledge to know how to use technology, with a key focus on accessing information and services during an emergency or disaster, staying safe online, social connectedness, and confidence in using the devices.

People with disability can be referred or contact the team directly by calling (free number) 1300 363 783, or online here.

If you have fit for purpose technology you would like to donate to the project, find out more here.
