Consultation on National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) legislation reforms

On 9 September 2021, the Department of Social Services (DSS) publicly released proposed changes to the legislation and rules underpinning the NDIS. The changes are intended to make processes easier and better for NDIS participants.

All NDIS participants, their families, carers and other stakeholders are encouraged to have their say on these important reforms.

The Commonwealth Government is proposing to amend the NDIS Act through the new Participant Service Guarantee and Other Measures Bill 2021 to bring in two new Rules:
