Blue Card Services upcoming online events

Blue Card Services helps keep Queensland children safe by assisting organisations to be child-safe and screening people who work with children. It holds a number of online events during each year, including an overview of the Organisation Portal, overview of the blue card system and Yarning circle sessions.

The Organisation Portal sessions touch on registering an organisation, linking and delinking card holders, making payments, viewing notices and managing card holders. Two sessions are coming up on 16 November and 21 December – register here.

The overview of the blue card system outlines the four main components of the blue card system, focusing on who needs a blue card, the blue card check, ongoing monitoring, and organisation’s obligations to develop and implement child and youth risk management strategies. Three sessions are coming up on 17 November, 1 and 15 December – register here.

Our Yarning circle sessions provide information for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and will yarn about who needs a blue card, how to apply for a blue card and organisation’s obligations. Two sessions are available on 26 November and 21 December – register here.
