From January 1, 2012 workplace health and safety laws were harmonised across Australia and replaced the existing work health and safety legislation in all states, territories and the Commonwealth. While many parts of the new legislation remained the same or similar to previous arrangements it is important that industry and workers know what the differences are.
In October 2015 further amendments were made as part of the Queensland Government's Improving safety for Queenslander at work policy. You can read about these amendements on the Workplace Health and Safety website.
