'The cost of unresolved childhood trauma and abuse in adults in Australia' provides an overview of the impacts of childhood trauma, including impairments in education, work, relationships as well as mental health impacts and criminal justice impacts.  The report also looks at the impacts of childhood trauma on tobacco and alcohol consumption, and proposes an economic analysis of the costs of these impacts. The authors found that addressing child sexual, emotional and physical abuse could save governments a minimum of $6.8 billion dollars.
