The ACOSS/UNSW Poverty and Inequality partnership, in collaboration with Anti-Poverty Week invites you to an Australia at Home lunchtime webinar on Poverty in Australia: pre-COVID realities and post-COVID choices.
Australia at Home is an initiative, supported by Essential Media, Australian Progress, Guardian Australia and others, to bring together people from civil society to discuss the challenges we face together during these unprecedented times.
In this webinar, we reveal the findings of new research from ACOSS and UNSW Sydney on the profile of poverty in Australia pre-COVID and discuss possible pathways to economic recovery which would reduce poverty in Australia for good.
Join Associate Professor Bruce Bradbury from the Social Policy Research Centre at UNSW Sydney, Jacqueline Phillips, Director of Policy and Deputy CEO of ACOSS, and Freya Pollard for an engaging and policy-relevant discussion of poverty, the likely impacts of COVID19, and lasting solutions for reducing poverty; facilitated by Toni Wren, Executive Director of Anti-Poverty Week.
The webinar takes place on 25 May 2020, between 1:00pm and 2:00pm.
