Young people are passionate about making a difference, but often don’t know where to begin. Videos for Change provides a simple, yet powerful stepping stone for young people to channel their passion and creativity into tangible social change and develop the confidence that their actions do make a difference.
Videos for Change challenges young people from Years 7 to 12 to create a one-minute video on a social issue they feel passionate about. Past participants have covered issues such as social inclusion, racism, domestic violence, gender equality, LGBTQI rights, and bullying.
By entering a video, young people can speak up for something they’d like to change in their world, or speak up for someone who can’t. You could win a share of over $12,000 worth of prizes and have your video shown on Network Ten’s The Project, with the potential to reach and inspire millions of people!
The prizes include $3,000 per winning team, in the form of gift vouchers or a donation to a charity of their choice in four different categories: Junior High (for students in Years 7-9), Senior High (for students in Years 10-12), People’s Choice Award, and Founders Award for Indigenous Youth Voice (where at least one KEY member of the team has to be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent).
