Not-for-Profit Law has produced an updated factsheet providing an overview of the common state taxes where a community organisation may be able to apply for a tax exemption.

In addition to federal government taxes, community organisations that operate in Queensland may also have to pay state taxes.

In Queensland, the main government agency responsible for state taxes is the Office of State Revenue (OSR).

This factsheet describes some state taxes and exemptions or concessions that may be available to some community organisations.
