Building disaster resilience is everyone’s responsibility and we all have a role to play in helping our communities cope with and recover from natural disaster.
‘All of this can be a challenge because you can’t manage what you can’t measure’
The Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services is hosting the 2017 Queensland Community Recovery Forum to discuss challenges and identify opportunities for building resilience in communities following natural disasters.
This year the forum aims to explore the economic relationship of business investment in community wellbeing strategies and the social and economic impact disasters have on community wellbeing and how these factors perpetuate each other. These relationships in collaboration with the community lead the way to strengthening community resilience.
Where: Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, Merivale St, Brisbane
When: 25 October 2017, 9am-5pm
Morning and afternoon tea and lunch will be provided.
