As the peak body for social services in Queensland, QCOSS is committed to continuing to keep the sector informed with the latest developments on the COVID-19 pandemic and how it impacts your organisation.

QCOSS has shared its pandemic emergency management plan.

This plan forms part of the QCOSS business continuity plan and is being constantly reviewed in line with current developments around the COVID-19 pandemic.

We are in the early stages of ‘Response’ in the plan. Some of the actions we are taking include:

  • Closely monitoring government information and advice.
  • Providing regular updates to staff and stakeholders.
  • Reviewing business travel, meeting attendance and external events. In the short term we have postponed external events and meetings or provided alternative options such as webinar and teleconferencing.
  • Established procedures to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of employees and their families, including work-from-home arrangements.
