The Queensland Government has set bold and ambitious targets to increase the number of women on boards, and wants to support and encourage others to do the same.
New resources are now available to assist those working on boosting women's representation on government, business and community boards, as well as women seeking board appointments. This is an initiative of the Queensland Women's Strategy.
Research has shown that gender diversity on boards delivers benefits in terms of financial and social performance. There is an $87million productivity gain that can be realised through gender parity on Queensland Government Boards.
