With the recent passing of the Human Rights Act in Queensland there is a great focus among the public, community, and research sectors about the implications of the Act for organisations and individuals.
At the same time, Australia continues to grapple with reform around care services, access, and quality including care for older people and the end of life.
This session will explore the opportunities and challenges for Queensland through the lens of human rights and ageing.
What do human rights and the Human Rights Act 2019 mean for how we plan for an ageing future? What can we learn from the UK?
