The Next Economy is hosting a series of public forums to explore the impact changes to the energy system are having on regional communities across Queensland.
Open to the general public, the forum will explore the range of economic opportunities in transitioning to a low carbon economy, as well as the impacts of the current energy transition on Central Queensland.
Community members will be consulted on both the positive and negative impacts of changes to the energy sector, the range of programs already in place to enable local people to take advantage of emerging economic opportunities; and what further planning and investment is needed.
