All Australians should be able to live with dignity in their community of choice.

Australia’s fourteenth annual Anti-Poverty Week, runs from 15 October through to 21 October 2017.

To align with the United Nations’ International Day to Eradicate Poverty, 17 October, you are invited to a public forum to address the issues of financial hardship, inequality, homelessness and isolation.

Come along to this innovative forum to discuss and share strategies for eliminating poverty and inequality in Queensland.

Guest speakers include:

  • Dr Richard Denniss, Chief Economist, The Australia Institute
  • Dr Cassandra Goldie, CEO, Australian Council of Social Services (ACOSS)
  • The Honorable Jackie Trad, Deputy Premier, Minister for Transport and Minister for Infrastructure and Planning and Member for South Brisbane
  • Karyn Walsh, CEO, Micah Projects.
