DV Work Aware is a new pilot program funded by Queensland Government Department of Communities and operated by Queensland Working Women's Service. The objective of the program is to raise awareness of the proactive and responsive role that workplaces can play in the community and for employees in addressing domestic and family violence.
The service will provide web-based resources for both employees and management as well as a telephone advisory service to assist workplaces around domestic violence disclosures and concerns.
A short survey of community sector management attitudes towards domestic and family violence in the workplace will assist with the development and responsiveness of DV Work Aware. Survey responses will be de-identified and will form part of the evaluation of the program by the University of Queensland.
