The Queensland Mental Health Commission has announced the Better Futures Grants, which opened on the 1 November.

Grants of up to $200,000 will be available for innovative initiatives that improve the mental health and wellbeing and social inclusion of people with a lived experience of mental illness, problematic alcohol and other drug use, or those impacted by suicide.

Funding will focus on innovative approaches to breaking down two of the barriers to social and economic participation for people with a lived experience—employment and housing.
