The Advancing Queensland: an age-friendly community grants program is now open.
This grants program will provide $1 million per annum for three years from 2017-18 to seed fund community projects that involve partnerships between local government, community and not-for-profit organisations, research organisations and the private sector to co-develop, implement and promote innovate age-friendly projects.
This grants program is an important component of the Queensland Government’s approach to supporting age-friendly communities, articulated in the Queensland: an age-friendly community – strategic direction statement and action plan.
In 2018-19 applications are invited from organisations who can provide innovative, age-friendly solutions that focus on overcoming barriers older Queenslanders face in relation to: civic participation and employment, community support and health services, and respect and social inclusion.
More information and resources to assist with the development of project proposals can be found on the Age Friendly Grants webpage.
Applications close 5pm Monday 25 June 2018.
