The Community Services stream of the Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services funds organisations to deliver services to a range of vulnerable and disadvantaged people across the state. Key target groups include young people at risk; seniors; women; and individuals and families impacted by domestic and family violence, poverty, financial difficulties, gambling, or drug and alcohol addiction. Community Services also provides funding to neighbourhood centres.
The purpose of the Community Services Partnership Forum is to provide a platform for the department, non-government sector and other stakeholders to improve service delivery and outcomes for these targeted client groups.
The forum is also intended to supplement and support other forms of engagement both within Community Services Sector (e.g. target group-specific engagement) and in other parts of the department (e.g. Disability Services Partnership Forum). While some matters for consideration will relate specifically to community services, there are also likely to be some matters relevant to the service system as a whole.
Community Services Partnership Forum meeting minutes and other information can be found on the Departmental website
