Terms and conditions

  1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Entry in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
  2. The Promoter is Queensland Council of Social Service (QCOSS) (“the Promoter”).
  3. Promotion commences at 7.00am AEST Monday 9 November 2020 and closes at Midnight AEST Friday 4 December 2020 (“Promotion Period”). Entries received outside the promotion period will not be accepted.
  4. Employees of QCOSS and any other agencies associated with this promotion, and their immediate families, are ineligible to enter.
  5. An Eligible Entrant will be eligible to win one prize. There will be a total of three winners.
  6. There will be a total of three prizes (“The Prize”) consisting of:
    • One prize up to the value of AUD $50 (including GST) VISA gift card
  7. Total Prize pool value is AUD $150 (including GST).
  8. To enter the competition Eligible Entrants must:
  9. Prize winners will be drawn at random. Your answer to questions does not affect your chance of winning.
  10. Eligible Entrants can only enter the competition once.
  11. Eligible Entrants must agree to terms and conditions and to being contacted by the Promoter in conjunction with this competition.
  12. The prize draw will be conducted at QCOSS, 20 Pidgeon Close, West End QLD 4101 at 9:00am on 7 December 2020. The winner will be the first three valid entries drawn.
  13. Winners will be notified by email within two business days of the draw.
  14. If a prize is unclaimed or not able to be delivered for three months after the draw, the Promoter will conduct further draws as is necessary in order to distribute the unclaimed prize. The re-draw will be held at QCOSS 20 Pidgeon Close, West End QLD 4101 at 9:00am on 8 March 2021.
  15. The Promoter is not responsible for any tax payable by the winner on the winning of the prize.
  16. The prize is not transferable, nor is there any cash equivalent.
  17. Incomplete, illegal, misdirected or late entries, or entries not in accordance with these terms and conditions will not be accepted. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of delivery. The Promoter takes no responsibility for entries delayed, incomplete or lost due to technical reasons or otherwise.
  18. Winners agree to take part in publicity in connection with this prize draw.
  19. The decision of the Promoter is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  20. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the prize draws.
  21. The Promoter cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury, costs, expenses or claims suffered by entrants as a result of entering the prize draw or accepting a prize. The Promoter further disclaims liability for any injury or damage to you or any other person relating to or resulting from participation with this promotion.
  22. If for any reason the Promotion is not capable of running as planned for reasons including but not limited to, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right (subject to any written directions given under applicable law) to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.
  23. If for any reason the Promotion is not capable of running as planned for reasons including but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, or fraud which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right (subject to any written directions given under applicable law) to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.
  24. If an act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these terms and conditions the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation.
  25. Any question concerning the legal interpretation of the rules will be based on the laws of Australia and the Courts of Australia will have exclusive jurisdiction.
