The NSW Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water has published a comprehensive Sustainable Office Checklist designed to help identify resource saving opportunities in an office environment.
The checklist focuses on sustainability in energy and water use, waste management, procurement and carbon management in the office. Each area is split into actions that staff can take as well as actions that will require consultation with others.
Once you have completed the checklist, why not sit down with members of your team and identify your top five actions and plan how you will all implement them in the office.
It's a good idea to set up regular meetings with the team to help achieve your sustainability goals and to communicate your success.
It is never too little or too late to do your bit for the environment.
