Organisation: North Queensland Domestic Violence Resource Services
Fourteen years ago Pauline applied for a position through an advert in the local paper to start a new organization; the North Queensland Domestic Violence Resource Service.
Pauline was instantly drawn to the position as she saw it as an exciting opportunity to develop a new service in her field of domestic violence and to channel her passions into a fulfilling career.
Her passion for the organization and dedication to her role has seen Pauline as the proud winner of a prestigious state government award in 2006.
North Queensland Domestic Violence Resource Services benefits the community by working in the prevention of domestic violence through raising awareness and dissolving myths surrounding domestic violence in the local community. The organization also provides a positive and effective welfare service to the community.
Pauline’s role within the organization has provided her with the opportunity to be a leader in the field of domestic violence and to develop a great team. Although planning to retire in two years, Pauline will continue to be an activist and public figure within domestic violence services.
