The Community Resource Handbooks were launched by Volunteering Queensland on 12 May 2015.
They consolidate the knowledge gained through Volunteering Queensland's community leadership work with more than 2,000 community groups over the past fifteen years.
The handbooks are aimed at small to medium community organisations who might struggle to find information and resources, and to give an outline of topics they may not have even considered yet.
Designed to assist community groups to begin, manage and grow, the handbooks cover:
- starting a community group;
- running an effective group;
- working with people;
- day-to-day operations;
- creating connections; and
- resources and links.
The content is tailored to help small charitable community groups run primarily by volunteers, with limited resources and time.
