Show your support of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD), on Thursday 15 June, the day is designated by the United Nations as a time where we join together to voice our opposition to the abuse, neglect and suffering inflicted on older people.

Elder Abuse is a single or repeated act which causes harm to an older person and is carried out by someone they trust such as a daughter, son, grandchild, spouse, other family member, carer or friend. (WHO, 2002)

Get involved on the day by incorporating the colour purple into your daily activities.
