Walk In Our Shoes Youth Festival is a multicultural event, targeted at young people aged 12 to 25 years old and celebrates the diversity and talents of young people living in the greater Brisbane area.
The event takes place on Thursday 29 June, between 10am and 3pm, at Yeronga Park, Brisbane.
The free festival is an opportunity for teens and young adults to learn about the experience of refugees and migrants their age. There will be a range of free workshops, Q&A style debate sessions, sporting activities, live music and performances, and food from around the world.
Event attendees will also have the opportunity to win an iPhone SE by registering and taking part in the walk around Yeronga Park at the event.
Youth Voice Brisbane have organised the event as part of their work in promoting human rights and social justice through advocacy and provision of representation for young people.
They are seeking expressions of interest from service providers, food and drink stall holders, musicians, dancers, artists and volunteers who are interested in becoming involved in the event.
