The Queensland Greats Awards, now in its 18th year, recognises the efforts and achievements of extraordinary people for their remarkable contribution to the history and development of our great state.

Nominations are accepted across three categories:

  • Individual—for individuals who have shown a lifetime of dedication and contribution to the development of Queensland.
  • Institution—for companies or organisations operating in Queensland, public or private, regardless of size or industry, that have contributed to Queensland for a considerable period. This includes multi-national subsidiaries, partnerships, franchises, non-government associations, community organisations, registered charities, government agencies and bodies.
  • Posthumous—to honour deceased individuals who demonstrated a lifetime of dedication and contribution to the development of Queensland.

To date, a total of 85 individuals, 13 institutions and three posthumous recipients have been recognised as Queensland Greats. The 2018 recipients will be announced at a ceremony on the eve of Queensland Day, 5 June 2018.

Nominate a person or organisation you know who is dedicated to advancing our great state.

Nominations close 23 February 2018, at 5pm.
