The Queensland Family and Child Commission (QFCC) has released the More than safe statement - a shared lens through which we can all focus on keeping Queensland's children more than safe.

In a short video, Principal Commissioner Cheryl Vardon and Queensland Council of Social Service CEO Mark Henley explain the intent of the More than safe commitment and its three core values: committed, connected and courageous.

The QFCC is calling on organisations and individuals to sign up to the More than safe committment statement. When you sign up, you can specify exactly how you put the core values into action and demonstrate them through your individual work. You can also print off the More than safe certificate and pin it to your wall as a daily reminder of why we do what we do.

Share the More than safe video with your staff and stakeholders, asking them to think about how they can embed More than safe into their values and actions.

The development of the More than safe statement is a key initiative of the Strengthening our sector strategy to build a proactive and positive culture in the way we work to support children and families.
