Do you know any budding entrepreneurs in Townsville and Cairns that need help and support to be inspired to create their own jobs? The Entrepreneurs of the Future program may just be what they are looking for.

The Entrepreneurs of the Future pilot program is looking for budding entrepreneurs in Townsville and Cairns that want to start their own business or gain employment.

This pilot program aims to develop skills and networks and provides a range of practical assistance and support. Key elements of the program include: job readiness skills; business skills; nationally recognised training; workshops to support the development of a business concept and brand; and specialist business support and mentoring.

The Entrepreneurs of the Future program commenced late in 2017 as part of the Queensland Government’s Back to Work Regional Employment Package to promote entrepreneurship and support jobseekers in regional Queensland. From 2017-18, $1 million is available over two years to support up to 120 disadvantaged jobseekers.

IN-STeP Industry-School Training Partnership Association Inc. has been selected to deliver the Certificate III in Micro Business Operations in Townsville, and the enVizion Group Inc. to deliver the Certificate III in Business Administration in Cairns. Both projects are currently looking for up to 30 participants to gain skills and be inspired to create their own jobs or ultimately, their own business.

Potential participants should be referred to IN-STeP in Townsville on 07 4725 2688, or enVizion in Cairns on 07 4031 2177.
