Community and Philanthropy Week is a chance for grassroots community groups and their philanthropic partners to showcase and promote the great things they have achieved together in cities and regions across Australia.

It is also an opportunity to share knowledge and best practice, and to strengthen or develop new relationships and partnerships.

This is the third year of the initiative, which culminates in a week-long celebration - 20 to 26 November 2017 with the theme building stronger communities together

This year, 21 community groups in urban and rural areas shared $160,000 in grants to help celebrate and communicate building stronger communities together during Community and Philanthropy Partnerships Week (CPPW).

Each year, grants are available to enable a variety of activities and events designed and run by local community organisations to highlight and promote what has been achieved around Australia, thanks to strong partnerships between the groups and those that support and work with them. These grants are now closed.

Community groups are encouraged to hold a celebration during the Week, even if they don't receive a grant.

You can follow what this year's grant recipients and others or doing to celebrate #CPPWeek on the CPPW Facebook page and via @CPPW on twitter.
