This week is Queensland Child Protection Week - which raises the profile of all issues connected with child protection, including child abuse prevention, treatment, research, education, service provision and support for children, young people and families.
This year's theme is 'Protecting Children is Everybody's Business' which calls on Queenslanders to support children everyday.
Each year Child Protection Week (3 to 9 September 2017) recognises the contribution of people and organisations doing their part to keep Queensland children safe from harm and neglect.
Show your support, join the conversation and get involved. Here are a few ideas of how you can join in:
- Post about it (or share our posts) on social media, using #UpToUs #EVERYBODYSBUSINESS
- Attend one (or two!) of the child protection events in your local area
- Enrol in a Triple P course to strengthen your positive parenting skills (or recommend it to a friend)
- Get the right help for yourself or a family you know by calling 13 FAMILY (or visit the website)
