Families Australia, supported by the Australian Government Department of Social Services, will hold the fifth annual Child Aware Approaches Conference (CAA 2017) at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, on 15 and 16 May 2017.
The two day national conference, Child Aware Approaches: Driving national action on child safety and wellbeing, aims to advance the goals of the National Framework for Protecting Australia’s Children 2009 – 2020, the National Plan to Reduce Violence against Women and their Children 2010 – 2022, and advance the wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
They will be encouraging thought leaders to stimulate discussion on how to make Australia an even better place for children and young people.
Attendees will include people eager to help shape future directions of national policy and action on child safety and wellbeing including international and Australian policymakers, researchers, academics, service delivery leaders and practitioners, and students.
