Not-for-profit organisation Micah Projects plans to open a Hope St Café, in South Brisbane, to provide training and employment opportunities for people who are keen to develop self-confidence, skills, qualifications and employment.

They currently run Hope St Café in West End, in partnership with TAFE Queensland, where all the profits are re-invested into the cafe operations and training.

Micah Projects Hope St Café has been selected as one of four organisations to participate in the 2017 Social Enterprise Design Challenge which supports not-profit social enterprises to test and design new concepts for creating social change.

The English Family Foundation will generously pledge the first 50% of our $30,000 tipping point goal, but for Hope Street Café to receive any funding at all the funds need to be matched by donations from the community.

The campaign will run online at for one month, launching on Monday 27 March until Friday 28 April 2017. They will be holding a special event on Friday 31 March between 5:30pm and 8pm at Hope St Cafe, 170 Boundary St, West End, 4101.
