The Aged Care Complaints Commissioner provides a free, independent service for anyone to raise concerns about the qulaity of care or services being delivered to people receiving aged care services funded by the Australian Government.

Their functions are to:

  • Resolve complaints about aged care services.
  • Educate people and aged care providers about the best ways to handle complaints and the issues they raise.
  • Provide information to the Minister in relation to any of the Compaints Commissioner's functions, if requested.

The Complaints Commissioner has a range of resources to help people receiving aged care, their families, friends and representatives understand their options to provide feedback, raise a concern or lodge a complaint.

There are also resources to support aged care services provider, their staff and workers to resolve concerns within the service to achieve outcomes for people receiving aged care.
