The misuse of alcohol and other drugs has a profound impact on the lives of many Queenslanders. Substance use can damage people’s health and wellbeing, destroy families, and lead to crime, lost productivity and reduced life opportunities.

Ensuring vulnerable Queenslanders and their families can access the help and support they need to beat drug and alcohol issues is important, as is making as much information and as many strategies as possible to help people avoid the misuse of drugs and alcohol in the first place.

The Queensland Government provides infromation on alcohol, drug and tobacco use, as well as where to seek treatment and help.

The Queensland Network of Alcohol and other Drug Agencies (QNADA) delivers support to services for people affected by acohol and other drugs.

The Australian Government website Healthdirect provides information on the health effects of drug and alcohol use, as well as information on the connection between drug and alcohol use and mental health issues.

You can find information on binge drinking and party drugs.

OnTrack is an online program to help people cut back on their drinking.
