By this time of year many New Year's resolutions may have already fallen by the wayside. Research suggests only about 8 per cent of those who set new year's goals actually stick to them.

Organisational Development Toolkit

The Organisational Development Toolkit was developed to support community services organisations undertake a critical review of their business models and identify opportunities to build future capability. The toolkit has three self-assessment tools to assist organisations to review their business across key capability areas and develop an action plan.

Human Services Quality Framework (HSQF)

The HSQF section has everything you need to know about transitioning to HSQF. It includes policy templates and guidelines organisations can use to check existing policies and procedures or to draft new ones. You’ll also find links to interviews with service providers sharing their own experience with the audit process.

eTraining

eTraining provides free, self-paced on-line courses to support community service. There are a range of courses on strengthening non-government organisations, governance, collaboration, cultural integrity and quality, outcomes and reform.

Planning and evaluation

Strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation are all critical factors which demonstrate your organisation has a real commitment to effectiveness, efficiency and continuous improvement. This section includes information on developing a strategic plan, business continuity, measuring performance and developing policy.

Policies, procedures and templates

This section contains policies, procedures and templates designed to help with the day-to-day running of a community organisation. Documents are grouped into five categories of office administration, people using the service, people working in the service, governance and accountability and style guides.
